The BMW 3 Series

In the US the 3 Series sedans are offered in three choices, the 330i as four cylinder option, the M340i as the six cylinder option and the plug in hybrid 330e which. The exact timing of the release on the 330e is still a bit unclear but is expected in early 2020.

With the 2019 year we get the end of the manual transmission with only automatic transmissions available. BMW reports that demand for a manual transmission is declining across the globe. They do plan on offering a manual transmission in the next version of the M3 to give the BMW enthusiast one, expensive, option to get a manual transmission sports sedan.

In terms of drive, rear wheel drive is the standard option with an all-wheel drive option available on both the 330i and M340i.

The BMW 5 Series

The BMW 5 Series has matured in its 7th generation to focus on the driving experience and a luxurious interior. While not as sporty as in years past, the 5 Series is aimed at delivering all the comforts and convenience of luxury sports sedan.

The 540i is the standard 5 Series offering from BMW and comes with 3.0L turbo inline 6 engine delivering 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.

The four cylinder option is the 530i which has a 2.0L turbo engine with 248 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque with a rear wheel drive drivetrain and a 8 speed automatic transmission.

There is also a plug in 530e iPerformance hybrid that combines an electric motor with the 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine in the 530i.

Finally there is the performance M550i xDrive that comes with a 4.4L V8 engine delivering 456 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. AWD is standard in the M550i.

The BWM 7 Series

The 750i xDrive has a 8 cylinder 445 hp engine and is the standard 7 Series luxury sedan.
The M760Li xDrive is the latest version of the 7 series with features to minimize fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while delivering pure driving pleasure. It also features a Carbon Core body to reduce weight. The Carbon Core combines aluminum, highly rigid steel, magnesium, and carbon fibre reinforced plastic to deliver a significant weight reduction from previous models.
